The present Writ Application has been filed for release of Tata Tiago Car in favour of the petitioner, bearing Registration No. BR11AJ9960, seized in connection with Cl Case No.12 of 2019, registered for the offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, as amended by Amendment Act 8 of 2018 (hereinafter referred to
Patna High Court CWJC No.11918 of 2019(3) dt.21-12-2019 2/2 as the 'Act').
It is jointly submitted that in connection with the seized vehicle Confiscation Case No. 170 of 2019 has already been initiated.
In that view of the matter, we are not inclined to interfere into the matter.
However, it is expected from the respondent No.3, the Collector, Purnea to take the proceeding of Confiscation Case No. 170 of 2019 to its logical conclusion by 10.02.2020, in accordance with law, failing which the petitioner will be at liberty to renew the prayer for release of the vehicle in question. With the aforesaid observation, the writ application stands disposed of.
