This Public Interest Litigation alleges that a report has been submitted by the Circle Officer through the Block Development Officer regarding misappropriation of funds in connection with diesel distribution to villagers for agriculture of Mednipur Gram Panchayat.

The writ petition alleges that the Assistant Director, Panchayati Raj Department on 9.8.2012 wrote to the District Panchayati Raj Officer for enquiry and report. This in turn

Patna High Court CWJC No.24050 of 2013 (2) dt.24-12-2013 was forwarded to the Block Development Officer on 20.9.2012 who in his turn called for a report from the Circle Officer. A report has been submitted on 1.12.2012 to the Block Development Officer who forwarded it to the Collector, Rohtas.

According to the own showing of the petitioner, the State authorities appear to be alive to the issue and a report is pending for consideration before the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Saran.

The only appropriate order to be passed by us is that the District Magistrate shall examine the reports and proceed to his satisfaction in accordance with law. The application is disposed.
