The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the local police officials to provide protection to the petitioners to ensure their safety and security. 4.
The petitioners state that they have married contrary to the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1. It is stated that since the family members of petitioner no.1 are opposed to their marriage, they are
apprehensive about their safety from the family members of petitioner no.1. 5.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners further state that certain family members of petitioner no.1 (including respondent nos. 2 to 7) have also issued threats against the petitioners. 6.
The learned counsel appearing for respondent no.1 states that police officials had visited the given address of the petitioners, but the same was found locked.

In view of the above and the averments made in the petition, this Court directs the petitioners to appear before the SHO, P.S. Mandir Marg. The SHO, P.S. Mandir Marg shall evaluate the threat perception and provide such security to the petitioners as he considers necessary. He shall provide the phone numbers of concerned beat police official in order that the petitioners can contact them in case of any eventuality. 8.
The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 9.
