The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ of Habeas Corpus for the production of his wedded wife Mrs. Leeza Kaushik, who is stated to be in the custody of her parents.

Petitioner's wife Mrs. Leeza Kaushik is present in Court alongwith her father Mr. Madhusudan Kaushik and sister Ms. Shelly Kaushik. 3.

During the course of hearing, it is categorically stated by Mrs. Leeza Kaushik that she desires to reside with her husband/petitioner. She further submits that the statement given earlier to the police officials to the effect that she does not wish to reside with her husband was under duress, on account of pressure exerted by her parents. She submits that she is willing to immediately start residing with the petitioner. 5.

The aforesaid statement of Mrs. Leeza Kaushik is taken on record. 6.

Mr. Madhusudan Kaushik and Ms. Shelly Kaushik (father and sister respectively of Mrs. Leeza Kaushik) undertake that they shall not interfere with the exercise by Mrs. Leeza Kaushik's of her free will and volition, and her decision to reside with her husband. The said undertaking is taken on record.

No further orders are required to be passed in the present petition. 8.

The present petition stands disposed of. Pending applications are rendered infructuous.
