Heard Sri M.V.V. Baswa Raj, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri A. lagan, learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise, appearing for the respondents. Perused the material on record.

Brief facts of the case are that the 1't petitioner is a member of the Toddy Tappers Co-operative Society, Mahabubnagar Group, since the past 30 years. There are several other members in the said Society, out of whom, S. Naresh Kumar Goud, R. Sharath Babu Goud, Gajagani Srinivas Goud, G. Ramulu Goud, and V. Prathap Goud are also members. The aforesaid persons are not residing within the territory of the Toddy Tappers Co-operative Society, Mahabubnagar Group, and S. Naresh Kumar Goud is also a member of the Toddy Tappers Co-operative Society, Kosgi, while V. Prathap Goud is also a member of the Toddy Tappers Co-operative Society, Zamisthanpur Village.

The petitioners submitted a representation on L5.04.2026 along with relevant proof seeking cancellation of the memberships of the aforesaid persons to respondent No.4 which was received by respondent No.3 on 76.04.2026. Thereafter, another representation
on the same subject was submitted to respondent No.4, which was received on 19.05.2026.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that despite receipt of the aforesaid representations and several reminders, the respondent authorities neither passed any orders nor took any action for removal of the membership of the aforesaid persons from the Toddy Tappers Co-operative Society, Mahabubnagar Group, instead, respondent No.4 is making attempts to conduct the elections to the said Society.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the continuation of the aforesaid persons as members is contrary to Clause 7 of the Bye-laws and is likely to have a direct impact on the election process and the rights of the eligible members residing within the operational territory of the Society. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners filed the present Writ Petition. 7.
Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the respondents may be directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners on 15.04.2026 and 19.05.2026 respectively and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Learned Government pleader for prohibition and Excise, appearing for the respondents, did not dispute the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners. 9.
In view of the above, this Court is of the considered view that a direction to the respondents, without going into the merits of the case, would meet the ends of justice.

Accordingly, this Writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent authorities to consider and dispose of the representations ot the petitioners dated 15.04.2026 and L9.05.2026 respectively, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this orde:. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
