HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No. 12820 of 2017 ORDER:

Petitioner/A1 seeks regular bail in Crime No. 297 of 2017 on the file of Jammikunta Police Station, Karimnagar District, which was registered against the petitioner/A1 and other accused for the offences under Sections 489-B, 489-C and 109 IPC.

The prosecution case is that on 22.11.2017, the police intercepted a car bearing No. TS-01-ED-3783 coming from Vavilala side and found the accused transporting fake currency. After interrogation, the police allegedly seized 91 fake currency notes of Rs. 2000/- denomination from the possession of the petitioner/A1. They also seized fake currency from other accused. Hence the case.

As can be seen, the investigation is still pending and charge sheet is not yet filed. Having regard to the gravity of the charge and pending investigation, it is not a fit case to grant bail.
