In the light of the prayer put-forth, we have considered the submissions of the learned Advocate for the petitioner, the learned AGP on behalf of Respondent Nos.1, 5, 6, 7 and 8 and the learned Advocate on behalf of Respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4.

On instructions, the learned Advocate for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner be permitted to withdraw this petition so as to

enable him to take recourse to the remedy of preferring an Election Petition.
