Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

2. The learned Advocate General for the State of Goa, submits that the term of the tender awarded to respondent no.5 has since ended and presently, there are no lottery operations on the basis of any tenders issued by the State of Goa. The learned Advocate General further states that the tender process in respect of the lottery process has now commenced with the issuance of tender

MCA/1008/2019 notice dated 12.11.2019. In the aforesaid circumstances, the learned Advocate General submits that further extension be granted by a period of atleast six months to complete the process.

3. Mr. G. Panandiker, the learned Counsel for the original petitioner submits that since six months time has already been granted, no further extension could be granted in the matter.

4. We note that the main thrust of the original petition was the continuance of operation by respondent no.5 even though the term of tender had already expired. Since that issue no longer survives and for the reasons set out in the Civil Application, we see no difficulty in granting extension of time as prayed for.

5. Accordingly, extension of further six months is granted for completion of tender process in relation to Goa State Lotteries.

6. Civil Application is disposed off in the aforesaid terms. C. V. BHADANG, J.
