O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for Contempt of Court for the wilful disobedience of the order of this Hon'ble Court made in Crl.O.P.No.16067 of 2013 dated 05.09.2014.

2. The accused in C.C.No.1725 of 2013 on the file of the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai to file a quash petition. This Court, in Crl.O.P.No. 16067 of 2013 dismissed the quash petition. However, there is a direction of the IX - Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet to split the case in C.C.No. 1725 of 2013 against the absconding accused namely, A3 to proceed with the Trial and complete the Trial within 2 months. The Trial Court was not completed with the time hence, the contempt petition was filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court fix the time within a period of 3 months even then the Trial was completed. The learned Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the first respondent would submit that earlier occasion based on the request made by the Trial Court, this Court extended the time complete the Trial 2/3

Court and extended the time to complete the Trial within a period of 3 months. Hence, the contempt petition is closed and no more extension is granted. The learned Pubic Prosecutor appearing for the respondent undertakes to complete the Trial within a period of three months.
