Respondents PETITIONS under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 19.06.2014 to the respondents and consequently, direct the respondents to include the petitioners' candidature for the "C" List of Sub-Inspectors for promotion as Inspectors of Police for the year 2014-2015 as called for by the third respondent in RC.No.171700/NGB 1 (1)/2014 dated 07.11.2014 and declare "C" List and grant all consequential service and monetary benefits to them.

For Petitioner : Mr.P.Selvaraj in all WPs.

For respondents : Mr.V.Subbiah, in all WPs Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER All the petitioners herein are working as Sub-Inspectors of Police. The grievance of the petitioners is that they are entitled to be included in the panel prepared for the promotion as Inspectors of Police for the year 2014-2015. Therefore, they made representations to the fourth respondent on 19.06.2014 and the same are pending consideration. Hence, the petitioners have filed these writ petitions.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioners have given representations to the fourth respondent seeking to include them in the promotion panel. Therefore, the said representations will have to be considered. 3.

Considering the submission made, without going into the merits of the case, the fourth respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the pending representations of the petitioners dated 19.06.2014, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

These writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. However, there is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
