This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to include petitioner's name in the promotion panel within Sl.No.1 to 7 to the post of Deputy Director of Agriculture for the year 2017-2018. Mr.T.M. Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both sides, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to include petitioner's name in the promotion panel within Sl.Nos.1 to 7 to the post of Deputy Director of Agriculture for the year 2017-2018. 3.

According to the petitioner, the petitioner is entitled for inclusion of his name in the promotion panel within Sl.Nos.1 to 7 to the post of Deputy Director of Agriculture for the year 2017-2018 and hence, he submitted a representation dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

10.11.2017 to the second respondent herein in this regard. Since the petitioner's representation has not been considered within a reasonable time, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

It is needless to point out that whenever a representation of this nature is made, the respondents are duty bound to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time, without keeping it pending indefinitely.

In this background, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
