ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Civil Revision Petition, challenging the order passed by the Rent Controller/XI Judge, Court of Small Causes, Chennai made in M.P.No.187 of 2016 in RCOP No.182 of 2012.

Under Section 23(1)(b) of the Tamil Nadu Buildings (Lease and Rent Control) Act, 1960, any order passed by the Rent Controller shall have an appealable remedy. When alternative remedy, by way of appeal, is available to the revision petitioner, the Civil Revision Petition, filed before this Court is not maintainable. Accordingly, the Civil Revision Petition is rejected on the ground of maintainability. No costs.
