ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) This Habeas Corpus has been filed seeking protection of one Anandha Jothi, wife of the petitioner.

2. On a mention made by the learned Government Counsel at 10.30 A.M. we listed the matter out of the turn in a Special list

3. The parties are present in Court today. On interaction with the detenue, we understand that she is not interested in the marriage with the petitioner any further. She says that her two children are presently with the petitioner but she wishes to have their custody.

4. In order to aid the resolution of the dispute between the parties, and with their consent, we refer the matter to mediation to the Centre attached to this Court at 2.30 p.m., today as the parties are from Perambalur District and present today in Madras.

5. Registry is directed to transfer this file to the Mediation Centre attached to this Court and post the matter before a Senior Mediator.

6. Learned Government Counsel states that the police had secured the detenue from Melmaravathur Temple for the purpose of this Habeas Corpus Petition. It seems that the detenue is working presently in the temple. Based on our observations, in the paragraphs supra, and subject to the fate of the

mediation, she is free to go.

6.Nothing survives for adjudication in the Habeas Corpus Petition, and we close the same. Mediator is requested to assist the parties in arriving at an amicable settlement.
