ORDER
This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non-compliance with the order dated 02.02.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.2260 of 2024, which directed the first respondent/University to promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant Professor Stage II, and subsequent promotions, along with all attendant service benefits. 2.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that challenging the order passed by the learned Single Judge, in W.P.No.2260 of 2024, dated 02.02.2024, the respondent preferred a Writ Appeal No.1558 of 2025 before the Division Bench of this Court, which was dismissed on 11.06.2025 by confirming the order passed by the learned Single Judge. However, the time for complying with the order of the learned Single Judge was extended for a further period of eight weeks from the date of the Judgement.
3. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submitted that as per the order of this Court dated 02.02.2024 passed in W.P.No.2260 of 2024, the Registrar, Bharathiar University, has
promoted the petitioner to the respective promoted post. An attested copy of the proceedings, vide Proceedings No.E7/CAS Pro./Revised/20350-11/2025 dated 21.06.2025, regarding the promotion of the petitioner, was submitted before this Court and taken on record. Insofar as the other attendant benefits are concerned, they are under process and will be complied with within the stipulated period prescribed by the Division Bench of this Court. 4.
Heard the learned counsel appearing on either sides and perused the materials available on record.

It is seen from the records that the Division Bench of this Court has already extended the time for complying with the order dated 02.02.2024 made in W.P.No.2260 of 2024, for a further period of eight weeks, as per the Judgment dated 11.06.2025 made in W.A.No.1558 of 2025 of the Division Bench of this Court.

However, the respondent is directed to comply with the order of this Court, on or before 06.08.2025. It is made clear that if the respondent
fails to comply with the order of this Court on or before 06.08.2025, the contempt petition shall revive automatically. 7.
With the above observations and directions, the Contempt Petition is closed. Consequently, the connected Sub-Application is also closed.
