ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to appoint the petitioner in the post of Anganwadi Worker for Ramarkovil Street, Anganwadi Centre at Batlagundu Block, Dindigul District, based on her application and interview conducted for the said Centre as well as based on her representation dated 26.11.2018 within a stipulated time.

2. Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate, took notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner belongs to Backward Community and he applied for the post of Anganwadi Worker for Ramarkovil Street Anganwadi Centre at Batlagundu Block, Dindigul District and the third respondent by his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.154/2017, dated 26.08.2017, issued a call letter for interview and certificate verification scheduled to be held on 30.08.2017 and accordingly, she appeared and performed well, out of five candidates. While so, the first respondent, without any basis, appointed one T.Premalatha, who had applied for Urkalasamy Kovil Street Anganwadi Centre, as Anganwadi Worker for Ramarkovil Street Anganwadi Centre. As the first respondent acted arbitrarily, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the first respondent / District Collector on 26.11.2018. As the same has not been considered by the first respondent, she has come up with this writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered by the first respondent as early as possible.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.11.2018 and pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to send a copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated 26.11.2018 to the first respondent for early compliance of this order.
