Writ petition was filed alleging that petitioner's daughter 'Umadevi' is in the illegal detention of the 3rd respondent. On 25/11/13, when the case came up for consideration, after obtaining instructions from the 2nd respondent, learned Government Pleader reported to this Court that the officers will be proceeding to Andhra Pradesh at an earlier date to trace out the detenue.

Today, when the matter was taken up, report of the 2nd respondent was made available by the learned Government Pleader informing that they reached Don Bosco School, Chembikkunnu Street, Andhra Pradesh on 12/12/13 and rescued the detenue from illegal detention. Thereafter, she was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Wadakkancherry on 15/12/13 and the learned Magistrate had entrusted the detenue to the petitioner.

Today, when the matter was taken up, both the petitioner and the detenue were also present and the detenue is now in the custody of the petitioner.

In such circumstances, no further orders are necessary and therefore, this writ petition is closed.
