This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode). Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
This is an application under section 439 of Cr.P.C. in connection with Special Case No.389 of 2022 arising out of Harichandanpur P.S. Case No.171 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge -cum- Special Judge under POCSO Act, Keonjhar for offences punishable under sections 457/354/354-A/354-D/323 of the Indian Penal Code and section 8 of the POCSO Act.
The prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by the learned Additional Sessions Judge -cum-

After going through the 164 Cr.P.C. statements of the victims and the nature and gravity of the accusation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. The prayer for bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
The petitioner is at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after examination of the victims in the trial Court. The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
