HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the appointment letter dated 08.08.2001 (Annexure P-1). Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents No.1 and 2 to allow the petitioner to continue as Dean, College of Home Science as the appointment of respondent No.3 is ipso facto null and void.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that through the instant writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the appointment of respondent No.3 as Dean, College of Home Science of respondent/University. He further submits that during the pendency of MOHD YAKUB 2026.07.03 14:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.

CWP-14950-2001 the writ petition, the petitioner as well as respondent No.3 had retired and nothing survives in the present petition. Learned counsel for the petitioner pleads no instructions. Dismissed for non-prosecution.

However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court for revival of the instant writ petition in case anything survives in the present petition.
