Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners will be satisfied if Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh i.e. respondent No.2 is directed to take appropriate action in accordance with law on application dated 30.12.2013 (Annexure P-4), made to him by petitioner no.1. As per averments made in the petition both the petitioners are major. Date of birth of petitioner No.1 -Manjeet Kaur, as per copy of Identity Card issued by Election Commission of India, Annexure P-1, is 18.05.1986 and date of birth of petitioner No.2 -Vijay Sharma as per copy of birth certificate, Annexure P-2, is 02.09.1987. They got married on 30.12.2013 as Singh Omkar 2014.01.08 10:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh

CRM No.M-44350 of 2013 per averments made in the petition. Photographs of the marriage are Annexure P-3.

In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim raised by the petitioners in the petition, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 - i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh to take appropriate action in accordance with law on application dated 30.12.2013 (Annexure P-4) as already stated to have been moved to him by petitioner no.1. However, it is made clear that this order will be having no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against petitioner no.2 as per law.
