The petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of direction to official respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents No.4 and 5. Petitioners are stated to be major and have solemnized marriage on 28.12.2016 which is against the wishes of their parents. Factum of marriage has been pleaded with reference to photographs (Annexure P-4). The present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa, to look into the representation of the petitioners and decide the same and if required, provide the protection to the life and liberty of the petitioners by providing adequate security.
