His instructions are, on 17th December, 2020 appellant prayed for adjournment before the Supreme Court. Said Court fixed hearing of the matter in the new year. Some writ petitions relate to other Municipalities, apart from Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Position taken by the Commission before the Supreme Court is that elections cannot be declared before February, 2021. Hence, he prays for listing in the new year, awaiting decision on similar question pending before the Supreme Court. Petitioners are represented.
