... for the respondent The Court: This is an application for extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator in terms of provisions under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Parties are represented and the Court is informed that the arbitration is at the evidence stage when the witnesses are being examined.

Considering the stage of the arbitration proceeding and also the fact that previously this Court has extended the mandate, this application is allowed directing the mandate of the learned Arbitrator to be extended with effect from 1st January, 2024 for a period of one year. AP/872/2023 is disposed of.
